The IWI Basel is strictly a non-profit organisation run by unpaid volunteers – all activities are funded by the members participating.

At the International Women’s Institute, we want our members’ voices to be heard:

All events are hosted* by our members (see all upcoming events on our Facebook page).

We have a regular members’ meeting where we discuss and vote on issues related to the group’s running, usually along with some drinks and nibbles! It is a great chance for our members to catch up with each other and get involved.

As a member, you will have access to the IWI Facebook members group where we post meeting minutes, monthly newsletters, committee events and photos of our adventures. We have discussions about possible new activities to gauge interest in the topic before our members book anything to keep costs and planning time at a minimum.
